Algoma Mills, May 22nd, 2017

Jean-Guy, Rae, & Connie braved the drizzle today and hiked hwy 538 in Algoma Mills. We saw some ducks, turkey vultures and a wood pecker. We stopped off at the cemetery and at the yacht club.

Who we are

Welcome to the blog of the Coureurs de Bois Outdoors Club headquartered in Elliot Lake, Ontario, Canada.

We are a very casual hiking club.

We have about 250 kilometers of trails in the pre-cambrian shield, a beautifully scenic and fairly rugged area of lakes, wetlands and rocky areas amply covered by all manner of flora and fauna.

We offer leisure, easy and intermediate hikes, snow shoe hikes and special events throughout the year. Our members also enjoy canoeing, kayaking, and cross country skiing.
